Expertise

SEGES, Landbrug & Fødevarer F.m.b.A. covers all aspects of farming and farm management - from crop production, the environment, livestock farming and organic production, to finance, tax legislation, IT architecture, accounting, HR, training and conservation. This is carried out in close partnerships with universities, government departments, businesses and trade associations.

Involvement

SEGES Agriculture & Food Council participates in the EU PiG project as a technical partner in work package 2 – Health Management, and SEGES, Landbrug & Fødevarer F.m.b.A.is work package leader in work package 3 – Precision Production.

Additionally, SEGES, Landbrug & Fødevarer F.m.b.A. offers participation in the all technical work packages with experts in the Thematic Groups.

Our team

 

Claus Hansen, Livestock Innovation; Senior Scientist, DVM, PhD

Claus' function is the regional RPIG for Denmark and he is also the leader for Work Package 3 - Precision Production. As a senior scientist, Claus has conducted applied research more than 10 years in the area swine reproduction, swine production, and health. Claus defended a PhD thesis on boar reproduction in 2015. Claus is the primary contact from SEGES, Landbrug & Fødevarer F.m.b.A. regarding this project.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Charlotte Sonne Kristensen

Team Manager for Swine Health in SEGES. DVM, Phd, diplomat ECPHM and more than 15 years of research experience, mainly with focus on respiratory diseases and viruses, but in her job as a team manager, covering all aspects of health in swine. Charlotte is point of contact from SEGES as work package partner in work package 2 – Health Management.
